About Us
The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of IIIT Lucknow is a student-run, non-profit organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship. We organize workshops, speaker sessions, and events to spread awareness and support aspiring entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, consultancy, seed funding, and networking opportunities.
Our mission is to act as a bridge between students, entrepreneurs, and investors, fostering a community where ideas can grow into impactful innovations. We aim to encourage creativity, nurture solutions, and build a platform where visionary minds can thrive.

E-Summit
The E-Summit is an annual entrepreneurship summit organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Lucknow. The event is designed to bring together students, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup culture among youth. Workshops and Seminars provide participants with valuable insights on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including ideation, business planning, funding, scaling, marketing, and more. These are typically led by industry experts and successful entrepreneurs.
Hackofiesta
Hackofiesta is an annual 36-hour global hackathon hosted by the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (IIIT Lucknow). The event is the main flagship event of Equinox. Participants can use any tech domain to propose innovative solutions to real-world problems. They can work in teams of 1–4 people to build a website, app, or hardware. The event offers a prize pool of over INR 1,50,000. Participants can access mentorship opportunities and join a Discord for help.
Startup Expo
The Startup Expo at IIIT is a product showcase event that provides a platform for startups to connect with students, investors, and other professionals: Showcase products: Startups can showcase their products and technologies at stalls in prime locations on campus. Startups can pitch their ideas to a panel of investors and other dignitaries. Startups can network with students, professors, and industrialists. Startups can get one-on-one mentoring from top dignitaries and corporate leaders. Startups can launch their products in front of a diverse audience.
IPL Auction
The IPL Auction event at IIIT Lucknow is a simulation of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, where participants act as team owners and build their dream IPL squads: Participants act as team owners and make decisions under pressure to build their dream IPL squads. Participants work in teams of 3–4 members. The event features a lineup of keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions. The IPL auction is an annual event where franchises bid for players, with the highest bidder securing the player's services.
